Mestri, scripted by Dasari Narayan Rao and helmed by Suresh Krissna, is a movie in tune with the present political climate. However, time will tell if there will be takers for this long 'political drama' which takes a dig at Chiranjeevi and his new political party.
This Telugu flick has nothing much to offer except for Nitin's fights and dances and Priya Mani skin show. It's a veritable hotchpotch.
Satyameva Jayate is similar to Khakee in most parts with some modifications to suit the times. Dr Rajasekhar, Sayaji Shinde and Milind Soman perform well in this Telugu film.
Koncham Koncham Koncham Kashtam directed by debutante Kishore Kumar is worth a watch on account of the feel-good entertaining factor. A love story with good acting by Siddharth and Tamannaah, it is an ideal film for the family.
Arundhati offers a visual canvas of horror, a theme of reincarnation, some good SFX, art work, cinematography and acting. Anushka, Sonu Sood and Sayaji Shinde have elevated the film to greater heights.
Fitting Master is a film filled with more sadness than humour wherein producer-director E V V Satyanarayana sends a message that one should love their parents. His son Naresh's acting is convincing.
Maska is rehashed fare whose high points are Ram's performance and the songs. Quite a downer from producer M S Raju and director B Gopal.
In the Telugu film Neninthe, director Puri Jagannadh portrays the life of an assistant director played by Ravi Teja. A fairly good story, the film touches upon real issues in the cinema industry but has the ingredients of a commercial film.
Sai Kiran Addivi in his Telugu debut film Vinayakudu tells a romantic tale of a fat man and a hot babe. Krishnudu and Sonia perform fairly well in this film which is slow-paced and makes for an average watch.
Hero is another cop story in the mainstream genre with a message. Nitin and Bhavana perform well in this film directed by debutante director G V Sudhakar Naidu.
Director Teja seems to have got embroiled in the stereotypical pattern of filmmaking. Gone is the freshness associated with his films (as his earlier films Chitram and Jayam reflect). One can't help but wonder if he has lost his touch.
This Telugu movie has something good to convey yet is not preachy. Though there is nothing new in the story the film offers decent entertainment. One can view it for Srikkanth's acting.
Kotha Bangaru Lokam is a teenage romance set in a college backdrop. Varun Sandesh and Shweta Prasad make this film worth a watch. This entertainer is fresh with some good camera work, music and some thoughts on parenting.
Rainbow has a usual storyline but is dreary because of average storytelling and performances by Rahul, Sonal Chauhan and Sindhu Menon. The film lacks colour and punch.
Souryam is another mainstream film with all the ingredients of a masala flick -- action, romance, sentiment and emotion. Director Siva adds nothing new to this formula.
Directed by Madan Gunde Jhallumandi is a love story against a college backdrop. The entertaining film has some good performances by Uday Kiran and Aditi Sharma.
